The Educational Theatre of Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture was built in accordance with modern requirements, equipped with the latest technical equipment, and capable of competing with world theatres in terms of facilities.

The activities of the Educational Theatre consist of staging open classes in specialized subjects for students, as well as independent creative works of teachers and graduates, and presenting them (including recorded audiovisual works) on its own stage or during touring performances to a wide audience, either on a paid or free basis in accordance with established procedures. During their studies, students experience the professional theatre environment and develop into highly qualified specialists in the future.

Modern technical equipment meeting contemporary requirements has been installed on the stage of the Educational Theatre. The theatre stage is equipped with a rotating mechanism. A special area is arranged in front of the stage for orchestra musicians.

The sound amplification system in the auditorium, video projector equipment, lighting control systems, as well as the stage rigging control systems are all operated through computerized technology.

All technical equipment installed in the theatre building was manufactured by the German company “Denkrayzer”.

The auditorium of the Educational Theatre is equipped with comfortable seats designed for 207 spectators.

In addition, the theatre has 4 dressing rooms for actors, 1 rehearsal and dance room, a costume room, a decoration workshop, a props workshop, a cloakroom for spectators, and technical rooms for staff, ensuring high-quality staging of diploma performances and concert programs.

The Educational Theatre team consists of a creative group, orchestra musicians and technical staff.

In 2018 the theatre’s creative group was named “Yog‘du”. The “Yog‘du” theatre troupe regularly tours different regions of the country and presents a number of theatrical performances and concert programs.

Within the framework of the five important initiatives of the President, from April 21–28, 2019, the “Yog‘du” theatre troupe visited the 5th orphanage of the Kitob district under the Kashkadarya Regional Public Education Department and also performed in the city of Shahrisabz and the districts of Kitob and Kashkadarya region, where their performances and concert programs received warm appreciation from the audience.

In addition, from May 21–25, 2019, the troupe presented theatrical performances and concert programs in several schools of Parkent district in Tashkent region.
