Axmedova Zamfira Amirovna

Head of the Department, Associate Professor. She has staged more than 15 theatrical performances, including two productions featuring People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Turg‘un Azizov. She is also the author of more than 40 scientific articles published in international and national journals and conference proceedings.

Brief history of the Department:
The department has been operating since May 1945, from the day the Tashkent State Institute of Theatre and Fine Arts was established. In order to train highly educated specialists for Uzbek theatre and cinema, which faithfully serve the spiritual, educational and ideological development of the nation, the Government adopted Resolution No. 1771 on June 4, 2012 “On the establishment of Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture.”

The institute aims to train highly qualified specialists for all theatres and cultural institutions operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Since the establishment of the institute, the Department of “Dramatic Theatre and Cinema Art” has been actively operating.
