| In 2016, the “National Singing” Department was established within the Faculty of Folk Art of Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture. Currently, the department is headed by senior lecturer Xusanov Husniddin Urinovich. |

| The “National Singing” Department trains specialists for “Song and Dance” ensembles operating in artistic groups and various cultural and educational institutions of the republic. The “National Singing” Department has carried out significant research activities. In particular: during the 2018–2019 academic year – 57 scientific articles; 2019–2020 – 68 scientific articles; 2020–2021 – 64 scientific articles; 2021–2022 – 71 scientific articles; 2022–2023 – 74 scientific articles were published. In total, over the last five years, the department’s academic staff have produced 334 scientific articles and 21 different educational publications.

| Scientific and practical partners of the department: |
| One of the main goals of the “National Singing” Department is to introduce the younger generation to the rich musical heritage of the Uzbek people and the works of composers, to educate them in the spirit of deep respect for national traditions, and to train specialists in accordance with modern educational standards and advanced technical resources. Students of the department not only acquire theoretical knowledge of Uzbek folk musical heritage, but also develop practical skills necessary for organizing educational processes in children’s music and art schools, leading song and dance ensembles in cultural and recreation centers, and organizing various cultural events. |
| Cooperation with enterprises and organizations: |
| Currently, the department maintains constant cooperation with the Creative Association of Artistic Groups of Uzbekistan, the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for Folk Art and Cultural-Educational Activities, and research institutions. In addition to scientific work, the department’s teachers are actively engaged in creative activities. As a result, alongside their scientific publications, they regularly prepare concert programs performed both within and outside the institute, as well as on television and radio, and record new works for radio archives. The department also identifies talented students and conducts individual training sessions with them, preparing them for various festivals and competitions and promoting them through radio, television, and other mass media. |
