About the Center:

The Center for Digital Educational Technologies, which is one of the structural units of the institute’s organizational system, was established in accordance with Resolution No. 230 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 23 May 2001 and Order No. 23 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 25 January 2001 “On the establishment of Information Technology and Distance Learning Centers in educational institutions of the Ministry”.

The Center operates in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan; regulatory documents of ministries and higher authorities; rules and standards of labor organization, labor safety, electrical safety and fire safety; the Charter of the Institute; the Regulations on the Center; and orders and instructions of the Rector of the Institute.

The main task of the Center is to implement and supervise the use of digital technologies in the educational and administrative management processes of the institute.

Goals and objectives of the Center:
• Creating the computer and information infrastructure of the institute;
• Organizing technical inspection and maintenance of computers;
• Implementing and managing digital technologies in educational, scientific and administrative processes;
• Supervising all activities related to electronic learning at the institute and establishing cooperation with local and foreign higher education institutions in the field of e-learning;
• Providing opportunities for professors, staff members, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students to use the INTERNET and the national scientific and educational network;
• Participating in and organizing exhibitions, conferences and practical seminars dedicated to the development of information and communication technologies;
• Creating and continuously improving the official website of the institute;
• Preparing proposals on providing the institute with modern computers and equipment necessary for network operations;
• Creating the institute’s computer network and implementing its software infrastructure (Intranet and Internet);
• Providing software support for the institute’s computers;
• Providing practical assistance in organizing computer laboratories;
• Developing educational and methodological support for the implementation of computer technologies;
• Providing practical assistance in creating electronic textbooks and electronic versions of lecture materials;
• Providing practical assistance in implementing automated systems in the Institute Information Resource Center;
• Other various tasks.
