Requirements for postgraduate students</strong

Admission to basic doctoral and doctoral programs is carried out by selection committees formed by HEIs or HEIs on a competitive basis in the manner prescribed by law.
Selection of applicants for undergraduate study is based on the results of entrance examinations, and doctoral candidates on the basis of the interview results.
The registration for an independent research institute is based on the results of the interview.
Persons entering a basic doctorate or applying for an independent doctorate degree to obtain a PhD in Philosophy must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Degree Diploma;
to the specific scientific results that can form the basis of the dissertation research for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), including at least one scientific article published in scientific journals and publications, as well as scientific conferences, seminars and related scientific directions. to have at least two theses in collections of scientific papers;
Individuals who have at least two years of scientific and pedagogical experience or a definite academic achievement (patent or copyright certificate) for independent doctoral research are required to obtain a PhD.

 

Applicants must submit the following documents


  • Application;
  • brief biographical information;
  • a duly certified copy of the work book (for prospective job applicants);
  • Diploma of Master’s Degree in Higher Education or a Diploma in Higher Education (by Specialty Programs);
  • list of published scientific works and copies.
  • Scholarship holders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall submit a copy of the relevant document.

 

 

The doctoral program is open to:


 

  • Persons entering doctoral or independent studies to qualify for a Doctor of Science (DSc) degree must meet the following requirements:
  • Candidate’s or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent degrees obtained in foreign countries;
  • At least three scientific articles published in scientific journals that may form the basis of a dissertation research to achieve significant academic achievement, including a doctoral or PhD (PhD) degree; to have at least two theses in scientific-practical conferences, seminars, and collections of scientific papers in related areas.

 

Applicants must submit the following documents:


  • Application;
  • brief biographical information;
  • a duly certified copy of the work book (for prospective job applicants);
  • A copy of a diploma of higher education, a doctoral degree, or a doctor of philosophy (PhD) or an equivalent degree in foreign countries;
  • The detailed project of the doctoral dissertation plan for scientific research and doctoral (DSc) research on the topic of research;
  • list of published scientific works and copies.

 

An applicant for an independent applicant must submit an application with the following documents:


  • brief biographical information;
  • A copy of a diploma of a master’s or higher education (by specialty) to apply for an independent doctorate degree in philosophy;
  • a certified copy of the work book;
  • list of research papers and their copies;
  • a copy of a PhD or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) diploma or other equivalent diploma obtained abroad to apply for an independent doctorate degree (DSc);
    job descriptions.

 

The scientific potential of the institute


The Institute employs 204 full-time professors and teachers.
From:

  • Doctors of science – 10;
  • candidates of sciences and doctors of philosophy (PhD) – 39 people;
  • professors without degrees – 9 people;
  • Associate professors – 26 people;
  • Honorary title – 23 people;
  • Scientific potential – 43,9%

On the third day of each month there is a scheduled meeting with the rector of the Institute on the control of the research work of the Fundamental Doctorate (PhD) and independent researchers (PhD) of the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture. It discusses the problems and drawbacks of the interpreter’s research and provides him with all the necessary support and assistance.
Currently, the institute has 7 PhD students and 16 researchers of independent researchers (PhD).
The Institute has established a separate Doctoral Training Center for doctoral students and independent researchers, which is equipped with modern computer equipment, which is connected to the Internet.
An advisory center for faculty, doctoral students and students has been created to use Scopus and Science Direct international scientific and technical databases and to publish scientific articles in journals with high impact factor.
As part of the Science 2020 program with the Netherlands Elsevier, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on the use of the international scientific database Scopus and Science Direct on May 7, 2018. The Institute has developed a plan of measures for the implementation of the order number 0.

 

Scientific schools available at the Institute


At the Department of Art and Cultural Studies research is conducted on the basis of scientific schools of scientists, art and science figures in the directions of “theater studies”, “Acting and directing”, “Dramaturgy”. These are the works of academician Mamajon Rahmanov, doctors of art sciences Muhsin Kadyrov, Tashpulat Tursunov, Sotimboy Tursunboyev on the study of “History of Uzbek and World Theater”. art ”, based on the scientific and methodological schools of academics Aziz Kayumov and Izzat Sultans to study“ Uzbek classical literature and dramaturgy ”.
Candidates of Art Sciences, Associate Professors O.Rizaev, G.Khalikulova, T.Rashidov, I.Abdurahmonov, N.Karimova are pursuing scientific research for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc).
Also, 44 young specialists working in the departments are working on these schools to get their PhD.
