The webinar was organized on March 12, 2021 in partnership with the British Council, Goldsmith University in London, the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture, the People’s Bank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
The purpose of this webinar is to discuss, exchange views and draw conclusions on the role of women in the country’s economy, and, accordingly, how their role in society will change – how they will affect the creative industries and development trends in Uzbekistan.
The webinar was opened by Jumayev Sabir Saidovich, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation. In her speech, she spoke about the recent reforms in the country to support women, decrees and decisions, mechanisms to increase the role of women in society, the allocation of special quotas for girls in higher education, social the girl in need of protection spoke of reforms such as the payment of student contract money by the institute.
The webinar was attended by the Deputy Director, Coordinator of the British Council in Uzbekistan, officials of the People’s Bank, officials of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Heads of Departments, Research Department, International Relations Department, Officials of the department, professors, masters, talented students of Nukus and Fergana regional branches of the institute took part.
